In the late summer of 1977, the life of Herbert Collins, a 54-year-old male, was brought to an abrupt and violent end in Chesapeake, Virginia. On the first day of September, Collins was discovered deceased inside his residence at 4109 Sunkist Road. An investigation into his death determined that he had been fatally wounded by a gunshot, leading authorities to classify the case as a homicide.
