Black/African American male Yhuri Vashon Brinkley, 30, was found in the early hours of September 11, 2025, after reports of gunfire along the 2900 block of South Military Highway in Chesapeake, Virginia. Officers arrived around 2:09 a.m. to find the 30-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
