Do you know who murdered Jarmel Perkins? On the night of May 11, 2019, just five days before his 35th birthday, 34-year-old Jarmel Perkins, a male resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Plow Lane, where a large house party was taking place.
Around 12:45 a.m., Chesapeake police responded to a call about an injured person in the street. Upon arrival, they discovered Perkins lying in the road with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Another man was also shot during the incident but was expected to recover.
Investigators determined that an argument erupted when Perkins arrived at the nearby house party, which ultimately led to the deadly shooting. Despite a large crowd being present at the time of the incident, very few witnesses have come forward with information.
