On November 24, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., 21-year-old Jalen Rucker was fatally shot near the intersection of Hillhurst Drive and Lyndale Drive in East Nashville. He was en route to a party in the 3000 block of Hillhurst Drive when the incident occurred. Rucker was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center by three companions, where he was pronounced dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
