In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 19-year-old Pablo Ical-Caz was tragically cut short. On November 19, 2022, the young Guatemalan man was found inside his Kia sedan at the Southern Hills Condos on Wallace Road. The scene that first responders encountered was one of destruction and mystery; Ical-Caz's vehicle had crashed and was engulfed in flames.
The Nashville Fire Department bravely pulled Ical-Caz from the burning car, but sadly, he was
pronounced dead at the scene. However, the fire was not the cause of his death. A subsequent investigation revealed a more sinister truth: Pablo Ical-Caz had been shot while he was still inside his car. It is believed that after he was shot, the car accelerated, crashing into another vehicle before the fire erupted.
The Metro Nashville Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case and has been in contact with Ical-Caz's family in Guatemala to inform them of the devastating news. While detectives are pursuing active leads, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder, and no suspects have been publicly named.
