On September 8, 2024, 18-year-old Yasser Paz was fatally shot outside Bucanas Night Club on Nolensville Pike in South Nashville. Around 2:30 a.m., as Paz and his friends were leaving the club, a vehicle—described by witnesses as a dark Chevrolet Suburban—approached them. Multiple men exited the vehicle and opened fire, striking Paz and 20-year-old Kyaw Naing.
