Giovanni Mitchell, a 20-year-old African American male, was found dead on January 16, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. His body was discovered near 40th Avenue North and Michigan Avenue, close to St. Luke’s African Methodist Episcopal Church. Giovanni Mitchell had been shot to death and was dumped out of a Mazda sedan at around 11:20 p.m. on the night of his death.
