In the spring of 2016, the life of 14-year-old Ladarrius Gentry was tragically cut short. The young African American male was fatally shot on May 27, 2016, at the Knollcrest apartment complex on Creekwood Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. Gentry was at his cousin's home at the time of the incident. An argument that began over a purported drug transaction escalated with deadly consequences, ending with Gentry being shot multiple times in the chest and back as he tried to flee his attacker.
