On September 4, 2016, Robert Saine Jr., aged 36, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Waffle House on White Bridge Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. Saine and his girlfriend had stopped for food after attending a car show, when an argument broke out between Saine and a group of three to four men. The dispute escalated, and one of the men opened fire, killing Saine.
