On the evening of Saturday, December 22, 2012, 20-year-old Raheem Rashad McCall, a Black male, was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. at 2551 Highland Trace Drive. Responding to a report of a shooting, officers discovered McCall and 27-year-old Cedric Robinson inside a gray Chevrolet Malibu; both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene, while McCall was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Investigators believe that two Black male suspects were responsible for the shooting. A quantity of marijuana packaged for resale was recovered from the vehicle where the victims were found. Despite the ongoing investigation by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, no arrests have been made in connection with the double homicide, and the case remains unsolved. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Cold Case Homicide Unit or the Crime Stoppers Division.
Raheem McCall was born on July 27, 1992, in Florence, South Carolina. He graduated from Northampton High School in Eastville, Virginia, in June 2011 and was attending The Barber College in Nashville at the time of his death. He was a member of the Living Word Church of Deliverance in Parsley, Virginia. An obituary mentioned that his brother, Cedric Robinson, also preceded him in death, indicating a familial relationship between the two victims.
