In the summer of 2015, the life of a Nashville teenager was abruptly cut short by gunfire. Dejuan Lytle, a 16-year-old male, was fatally shot on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. The incident took place shortly before 10:00 p.m. in front of 35 University Court, within the Tony Sudekum public housing development. Prior to the sound of the gunshot that ended his life, there were reports of an argument in the area.
