In the early evening of Monday, June 5, 2017, a young man named Kuyvonta Nabaa, also known as Kuyvonta Cain, walked toward the dead end of 1st Avenue South near Carroll Street in Nashville, Tennessee. At 20 years old, his life was cut tragically short when he was confronted by two armed men. The men opened fire as Kuyvonta attempted to flee the scene, striking him multiple times. He succumbed to his injuries from the shooting.
