In the winter of 2023, the life of 19-year-old Michael Chase Adams was tragically cut short in Nashville, Tennessee. On the evening of January 16th, authorities responded to a call of a shooting and discovered a grim scene. Michael, a White male, was found deceased in a yard on Salem Mason Drive, the victim of fatal gunshot wounds. The tragedy deepened when, a short distance away on a baseball field, the body of his 14-year-old friend, Cordarion Hall, was also discovered.
The double homicide sent a wave of shock and grief through the community.
Michael, born on March 25, 2003, in Hermitage, Tennessee, was remembered by his family as a young man with a generous and caring spirit. His loved ones recalled his kindness and willingness to help others, a sentiment echoed by those who knew him. Described as a beloved son, grandson, and brother, his sudden and violent death left his family devastated. They remembered him as someone who was deeply protective of his mother and would not hesitate to give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

Three brothers, Chadwick Wells, 24, Keondre Wells, 21, and Deshawn Wells, 20, were identified as the primary suspects. A grand jury indicted the trio on two counts of premeditated first-degree murder and two counts of felony first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Michael and Cordarion.
