On the evening of July 4, 2023, a day meant for celebration, 27-year-old Christopher L. Harris, a Black male, found himself in a harrowing situation outside the Overlook Apartments on Buena Vista Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. As he stood beside his vehicle, a group of males approached him. In a sudden burst of violence, approximately seven of the individuals opened fire, unleashing a barrage of as many as 100 rounds.
