On December 11, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Sumter Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Mimosa Road in Sumter, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 79-year-old Sherri Louise Swoger Redmond deceased from an apparent gunshot wound inside her home.
