On November 20, 2024, at approximately 12:14 a.m., 39-year-old Alejandro Lopez-Lechuga was fatally shot in the 5000 block of Princess Lane in Columbus, Ohio. Witnesses reported that Lopez-Lechuga confronted a 16-year-old male attempting to break into vehicles at an apartment complex. During the confrontation, the suspect shot Lopez-Lechuga multiple times. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Lopez-Lechuga was pronounced dead at 12:55 a.m. at St. Ann's Hospital.
