On the evening of November 18, 2024, tragedy struck a neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, forever altering the lives of one family. Mark A. Holley, a 35-year-old Black / African American male, was in the Wilkes neighborhood when his life was cut short. At approximately 5:46 p.m., officers from the North Precinct were dispatched to the 15900 block of Northeast Fremont Street following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Holley at the scene, having succumbed to his injuries.
