On the evening of December 21, 2024, at approximately 10:19 p.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of E. Walnut Street following a report of an unknown disturbance. The caller did not provide further details. Shortly after, the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system alerted authorities to gunfire in the same area.
