In the evening of April 8, 2026, a young life was tragically cut short in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Jassiah Armstrong, an 18-year-old male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Lincoln Drive. First responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:01 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Wayne County EMS provided emergency medical treatment to Armstrong before transporting him to UNC Health Wayne.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Jassiah Armstrong succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The Goldsboro Police Department's Investigations Division has since taken over the case.
