Eric Donta Covington, a 30-year-old African American male from Goldsboro, NC, tragically lost his life on December 20, 2017. The incident occurred late at night, around 11:52 PM, when officers responded to a call and found Eric Covington deceased. His death left behind five young children, all under the age of six, who wore shirts with their father's picture during a protest demanding justice for his unsolved murder.
