Versean Jenkins, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 22, 2016, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred at Donel's Convenience Store located at 518 East Elm Street, where Jenkins was shot multiple times around 12:15 a.m. Despite being transported to Vidant Medical Center for medical attention, Jenkins succumbed to his injuries.
