In the late afternoon of August 15, 2026, the city of Goldsboro, North Carolina, was shaken by a violent act that claimed the lives of two young men. Tristen William Mason, a 20-year-old from the nearby town of Dudley, was fatally shot in a double homicide. The incident also resulted in the death of 20-year-old Nasire Green of Goldsboro. at a residence on West Oak Street, where responding officers discovered both Mason and Green with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene, but tragically, both men were pronounced dead from their injuries.

With the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Greenville Police Department, Sessions was located and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy, the same charges as the juvenile suspect. Following his arrest, Sessions appeared before a Wayne County magistrate and was ordered to be held without bond. The investigation into the double homicide was announced to be ongoing by the Goldsboro Police Department.
