Tyshawn Geigher, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 7, 2019, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. at the America's Best Value Inn on US Highway 70 East. Geigher was found lying outside the door of one of the motel rooms, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of Wayne County EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of his death, Geigher had been living at the motel.
