In the late hours of a Monday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 36-year-old Sedrick Davis was tragically cut short. On December 16, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, the sound of gunfire pierced the night on Merganzer Avenue. The Baton Rouge Police Department was alerted to the shooting by a ShotSpotter activation, a system designed to detect and locate gunfire.
