On November 24, 2024, Janice Richmond, 67, and her husband, Robert Richmond Jr., 69, were discovered deceased in their Springville, Iowa, home. Both victims appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 4 p.m. and confirmed the deaths. Authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public related to this incident.
