On December 5, 2024, Keith Ford, a 35-year-old resident of Lafayette, Indiana, was fatally shot at Lafayette Laundry, located in the 3100 block of South Street. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. when a gunman entered the laundromat and opened fire, striking Ford twice in the back. He was transported to IU Health Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
