On December 2, 2024, at approximately 10:20 p.m., 14-year-old Joshua Sanchez was fatally shot inside an apartment in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. Officers responding to a report of a person shot found Joshua with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts to save him, he was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
