On November 27, 2024, at approximately 2:37 a.m., deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting incident at a residence on the 3000 block of Mystic Lane in Augusta, Georgia. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals, later identified as William Horne, 49, and his wife, Carol Horne, 52, both deceased from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene at 3:20 a.m.
