Edwin Dean Williams Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 13, 2015, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of Amsterdam Drive, where Williams was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 11 p.m. by the Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner. Alongside him, a 22-year-old African American woman named Marie Greene was also injured, suffering a gunshot wound to her left hand.
