On November 30, 2024, 31-year-old Lyft driver Rafeeq S. Badee was fatally shot while on duty in Decatur, Georgia. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the Parkway Grand Apartment Complex on Woodberry Place. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots followed by a man's screams, and observed multiple suspects fleeing the scene.
