Devante Dawson, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 28, 2022, in Decatur, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Asberry Apartments on Flat Shoals Parkway, where Devante Dawson and his friend, 21-year-old Hassan Freeman, were found shot dead inside a hallway. The news of their deaths left their families and the community in shock and mourning.
