On a summer day in southern Arizona, the life of a dedicated National Park Ranger came to a tragic end. Kristopher William Eggle, a 28-year-old male, was shot and killed on August 9, 2002, in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a rugged expanse of desert landscape he was sworn to protect.
