Death by Force

On December 15, 2024, at approximately 1:48 a.m., Tony James Ferguson, a 41-year-old resident of Meridian, Georgia, was fatally shot during an altercation near Highway 99 and Swamp Road. McIntosh County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene, where they discovered Ferguson with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
