Arkeen Jessie Lafaye Brumfield, an 11-year-old African American boy from Garden City, GA, tragically lost his life on April 12, 2020. The incident occurred during a period when domestic violence rates were rising due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On the evening of April 12, a gunshot struck Arkeen in the forehead while he was at home.
