On November 29, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., 59-year-old Svetlana Asnaimer was fatally shot in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The incident occurred on the 6000 block of Barton Avenue, near Santa Monica Boulevard and Gower Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), a man in his 60s approached Asnaimer, and an argument ensued, escalating into a physical altercation during which the man shot her multiple times. Asnaimer was pronounced dead at the scene.
