On March 15, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at the Bitter End nightclub, located at the intersection of Elm Street and Malcolm X Boulevard in Dallas' Deep Ellum district. The incident resulted in the deaths of 37-year-old Rickey Gossett and 30-year-old Danielle Jones.

According to the Dallas Police Department, Gossett was seated on the patio of the nightclub when an unidentified male suspect approached and opened fire, striking him multiple times. Tragically, ...
