On May 6, 2023, 32-year-old Elio David Cumana-Rivas tragically lost his life during a mass shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen, Texas. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Elio had relocated to the United States in pursuit of better opportunities for himself and his family. He was at the mall that day shopping for a birthday gift for his 6-year-old daughter when the unthinkable occurred.
