On March 31, 2019, 21-year-old Sheetya Elaine Herrin was tragically killed in a shooting outside the American Legion in Folkston, Georgia. The shooting took place around 3:21 a.m. as individuals were leaving a concert held at the venue. Two other women were also injured but survived. Shortly after this, another shooting occurred nearby at a Flash Foods convenience store, where two men were injured.
