On May 13, 2023, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Houston police officers responded to reports of a shooting in a parking lot at 2901 Westridge Street, near NRG Park. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Cameron Fleeks suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
