Johnel Francis, a 24-year-old male from Houston, Texas, tragically passed away on June 7, 2016. He was critically wounded in a double shooting incident at his ex-girlfriend's apartment in northeast Houston. The suspect, Darrell P. Mitchell, 28, was charged with capital murder after fatally shooting Lakiesha Lewis, 23, and critically wounding Francis. Mitchell surrendered to police later that night and claimed his mind went blank when he shot them.
