Deverrick Goodin, a 44-year-old man from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on April 13, 2019. He was fatally shot at his residence located at 7315 Parkes Street. According to the Houston Police Department, Goodin was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing three young black males fleeing the scene after the shooting.
The investigation led to the identification of two suspects, Richard Nolan and Gary Logan , who were charged with murder in connection
with Goodin's death. A third unidentified male suspect remains at large. The suspects were charged in the 178th State District Court, but they were not in custody at the time of the charges. The nephew of Goodin, who was present during the incident, identified the suspects and provided crucial information to the authorities.
The tragic incident occurred when Goodin was forcibly taken from the bathroom of his house and shot dead on his sofa. The suspects, along with Goodin's girlfriend's mother, allegedly had an altercation with Goodin the night before the shooting. The suspects claimed that Goodin tried to hit her with his vehicle, which led to the fatal confrontation.
