On June 24, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at Willie Mae Butler Park, near the Larry Johnson Recreation Center in the 5300 block of Wullschleger Lane. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Cristian Adrian Guillen-Ramirez lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel arrived and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation, on July 18, 2023, Dallas Police Department officers arrested two male juveniles, aged 13 and 16, in connection with Guillen-Ramirez's death. Both were charged with murder and aggravated assault. Due to their ages, their identities have not been released to the public.
