Ricardo Xavier Rangel, a 22-year-old Latin male, tragically passed away on January 9, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. He was found dead near a road in the 2900 block of Municipal Street, and Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him deceased at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity.
Following the discovery of Rangel's body, Isaac Trevino, a 24-year-old man, was identified as the suspect.
Trevino was already in custody on unrelated charges at the time of the investigation. During an interview with Dallas detectives, Trevino confessed to the fatal shooting of Rangel. Consequently, he was charged with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Trevino's bail was set at $715,000.
