Vernon Rivers, a 41-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Vernon was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a shootout that erupted in the parking lot of CJ's Billiards and Sports Bar around 2 a.m. The incident involved multiple vehicles and over 40 rounds of gunfire. Vernon was not involved in the altercation but was standing by his car when he was fatally shot.
