On July 16, 2023, 43-year-old Peter Gonzalez was fatally shot near an abandoned building in East Austin, Texas. At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the vicinity of East 52nd Street and Cameron Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Gonzalez with critical injuries. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
