On July 23, 2023, 33-year-old Edwin Edgardo Larreinaga Carrillos was found dead in Dallas, TX. The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call at 2800 Gould Street around 12:30 am, where they discovered Carrillos with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that Carrillos and another man, identified as Bryan Morales-Chavez, had been involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical fight.
During the altercation, Morales-Chavez allegedly shot Carrillos.
Morales-Chavez fled the scene but was later apprehended by the Dallas Police Department and charged with murder. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail.
The investigation into Carrillos's death is ongoing.
