On February 19, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of W. Wheatland Road in the Red Bird neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Jeremiah Tutson and a 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Tutson succumbed to his injuries. The 17-year-old was hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to survive.
