On September 3, 2023, a tragic incident unfolded in Galveston, Texas, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Jourdan Concepcion. The event occurred during a large house party in the 4000 block of Mendocino Drive, in the Pointe San Luis subdivision on the island's west end. The gathering, reportedly the first time the property was rented out as an Airbnb, turned deadly when an altercation escalated into gunfire.
