On December 7, 2023, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Dallas police responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of Fort Worth Avenue, near Seale and Yorktown streets in West Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 16-year-old Adrian Frank Rangel critically injured from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on December 9, 2023.
