Eric Montez, a 25-year-old male, was fatally injured in a robbery and shooting incident at an apartment complex in Dallas, Texas, on May 9, 2022. The incident occurred around midnight in the 2700 block of Jefferson Boulevard, just east of Loop 12. According to reports, two individuals were approached by a suspect in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The suspect demanded money from both individuals, but neither had any money on them.
